Some of the benefits from Lion's Mane can only be extracted using alcohol and other benefits can only be extracted using water, so we soak fresh mushrooms in alcohol for 6 weeks and then combine that liquid with the water extracted solution that we obtained from slow cooking another fresh batch of Lion's Mane in water for up to 36 hours. This process is called dual extraction.
