We are using doughnut order form template to create our order form, but we are unable to see order number in Google sheet. We need order number to confirm it to the customer. Where do we find the order number in Google sheet?
The order number is generated after the user submits the form. So, this order number will not be recorded in Google Forms. If you sync the Google Forms responses to Google Sheets, it will only sync the fields in the form. All the fields in the form are included as columns and each row is a response.
The order number will be recorded in Neartail. If you export the Neartail Reports data to google sheets, the order number will also be included. Login to Neartail > click on the form to open it > Edit page will be displayed > click Reports > click on the sync button in the bottom right corner. The responses will be synced to Sheets ONLY when you click on the Export button in Neartail. This includes order status, payment status & more.
When you sync the Neartail reports to Google Sheets, we create three sheets. (1) Order summary: This includes the customer contact details, amount and other fields in the form. (2) Order lineitems: This includes the order lineitems data. You can use the pivot table option on this sheet to create the aggregate reports you need. (3) Order details: This includes the quantity ordered for the products in each order. Each product will be added as a column. For products with variants, each variant will be a separate column.
Hi Vipin,
After order is submitted, we are using Google App script to confirm order details to the customer via Email. This email is customized and we cannot use Neartail email templates. So in order to confirm the order, we need order number. Manually exporting order details to google sheets is not an option. Because someone has to manually process each order.
The order number will be included only in the data exported to Google Sheets from Neartail. Currently we do not have the option to sync it in real time.
